The Eorzean Alphabet. Note: lower case letters 'j' and 'x' are speculation

A modified form of the Roman alphabet is used in Eorzea. It can be found on guildleves, maps, signs, printed bulletins, and in books.

[edit] Guildleves

Main article: Guildleves

The text at the top of a guildleve states the virtue portrayed (e.g. Valour).

The text at the bottom of the guildleve is the name of the city controlling the region where the leve was issued.

[edit] Maps

Place names are written using this alphabet.

[edit] Signs and Bulletins

Main Article: Signs

There are signs and posted bulletins that can be seen in or near shops and in various places around the cities. See the main article for translations of the text.

[edit] Downloadable Fonts

Various fonts in the Eorzean style, created by Dachoutom, are available for download here.

  • The original font created by Tristis/AaronDMorgan is rehosted on Dachoutom's website, and can be downloaded from here.
