Category:Log

There are a number of "logs" in game. Completing elements of the logs, or various sections, will sometimes yield bonuses. Fully completing the logs often yields item rewards.

Hunting Log
Hunting Logs, which classes gain access to after their first class quest, are a series of one-time hunts that provide a bonus amount of experience points after defeating a certain number of enemies. Additional experience points are provided upon completing a "Rank" (Set of ten hunts) and unlocks the next difficulty rank. Each class has their own hunting log, and credit can only be received for defeating the monster on the associated class.

Upon enlisting in a Grand Company you will receive a Company Hunting Log as well. This one is not class specific, and the targets are much more difficult. Instead of experience points you receive Grand Company Seals upon completion of an entry.

Fishing Log
Collectables
Fishing Logs are provided for fishers to be able to track their progress fishing across Eorzea. Fishers will get a small bonus when first obtaining a new catch, and while there are no direct bonuses for completing the various logs, catching many, and a variety of, fish will unlock achievements with rewards.

Crafting Log
Collectables
Crafting Logs are provided for disciples of the hand to be able to track their progress in crafting various items. It also doubles as the primary interface when selecting items to craft. Crafters will get a small bonus when first crafting a new item, and while there are no direct bonuses for completing the various logs, crafting many, and a variety of, items will unlock achievements with rewards.

Gathering Log
Collectables
Gathering Logs are provided for disciples of the land to be able to track their progress in gathering various items. Gatherers will get a small bonus when first gathering a new item, and while there are no direct bonuses for completing the various logs, gathering many, and a variety of, items will unlock achievements with rewards.

Challenge Log
The Challenge Log can be completed by fulfilling specific conditions. Completing each entry reimburses you with various rewards, such as experience or gil. Completion status is reset on a weekly basis on Tuesday at 1:00 a.m. (PDT), and it is possible to undertake the challenges repeatedly. Additional rewards can be earned for overall completion of the challenge log.

Sightseeing Log
The Sightseeing Log is a collection of Lore entries on various locations around Eorzea. Clues are listed in the Sightseeing Log for players to decipher and will unlock a bit of background information about each specific location when successfully completed.

Minion Log
The Minions Log is provided for players to track their progress acquiring minions in Eorzea. Minions are personal "pets" who will follow the player around. Some minions will interact with the player during periods of inactivity, and some will interact with other minions of the same (or different) types. Minions are also used for the Lord of Verminion mini-game.

Mount Log
The Mount Log is provided for players to track their progress acquiring mounts in Eorzea. Mounts allow players to travel faster than if on foot and are acquired in a variety of ways. Enemies will still attempt attack you whilst mounted, and can inflict damage on you (including KO) and doing so might eventually cause you to to dismount.

Orchestrion Roll
Orchestrion Rolls are required to change music. They can be acquired through various methods including crafting, vendors, quest rewards, and achievements. The Orchestrion Log will be unlocked after either using an Orchestrion Roll for the first time or accessing the Orchestrion for the first time. After using an Orchestrion Roll, the song will be added to the Orchestrion List, and may be listened to an unlimited number of times. Rolls are played via the Orchestrion, which is accessible in inn rooms, or, after being placed, in free company housing, private housing, or a private room.
