Default:

An aesthete is by nature cruel, because crude things offend our nature and there will be so much crudeness. And oh, won't someone throw a pearl in my wine?
After: In the Company of Heroes
Ah, Titan's Bane! That is your title, yes? Pray partake of Costa del Sol's hospitality.
However, do try to refrain from crude displays of martial prowess. This is a place of beauty and leisure─not the bloodsands.
After: Flowers for One
Why have you not yet returned to me, my beloved F'lhaminn!? What malevolent forces conspire to keep us apart!?
...A daughter, you say? Hmmm... If she bears even the slightest resemblance to her mother, I should like very much to meet her.
After: Dubious Dancing
Master Bugaal Ja's passion for both bathing and dancing is truly unparalleled. I am sure it is but a matter of time before his art finds a receptive audience.
After: The Business of Betrothal
They tell me this Arabella is quite the beauty. Do you suppose she'd be interested in earning a bit of extra coin as one of my dancers?

Triple Triad Player Card

On Challenge:
You would challenge me? I am not sure if that is wise, my friend, for you see, I have something of a monopoly on the choicest cards in the realm...
If Unavailable:
While I would enjoy nothing more than a diversion, I fear that other forms of entertainment demand my undivided attention at the moment. Ahem! Sway those hips a bit more, would you, my dear?
On NPC Win:
And again, victory is mine, once again proving that skill is no substitute for money. Then again, I've no shortage of either!
On Player Win:
Preposterous! I was told that was the best deck gil could buy! Say, would you be willing to part with some of those cards, friend? Needless to say, I would pay good coin for them!
On Draw:
A draw? Would I be correct in assuming that you spent a small fortune on your cards as well, friend?

- Biography
- Master Gegeruju is the lord of Costa del Sol.
A wealthy Ul'dahn entrepreneur, he purchased land along the Bloodshore from the thalassocracy when it proved ill-suited to farming due to seawater seeping into its water table. Making a sizeable contribution to the Admiral of Limsa Lominsa to build his new estate, he moved from Ul'dah to La Noscea. [1]
This act also gained Gegeruju animosity from many of the original settlers who built the town, as they worked themselves to the bone only to have him buy the region for himself. [2]
However, many of those settlers have remained and prospered under his employ—a third of his household, by his own estimate—and the region is noticeably more profitable and valuable now than it was as a futile attempt at farmland. [2]
Despite his gift for business, Gegeruju can often be naive in other matters. [1] For example, he attributes earthquakes in eastern La Noscea to the buffaloes in the region. [3]
Gegeruju is a generous and enthusiastic man with a great lust for life and appreciation for most things, finding enjoyment in both the anticipation and fulfillment of what he desires. [4]
Notes: * The wild colibri around eastern La Noscea were fed, bred, and released by Gegeruju. Disgruntled settlers occasionally poach these birds beyond the borders of Costa del Sol, but Gegeruju still adamantly considers them his property. [2]
- Gegeruju is a fan of F'lhaminn, the Songstress of Ul'dah, describing her as a "goddess-made-flesh". [5]
- Strangely, Gegeruju enjoys the bizarre dancing styles of Bugaal Ja and considers it fine art, though he annuls the mamool ja's contract upon realizing it isn't appreciated by others and will not turn a profit. [6]
