Notes
Answers is the main theme of the original version of Final Fantasy XIV. Vocals were performed by Susan Calloway, who was chosen based on her work with Distant Worlds. In A Realm Reborn, it plays in the opening cinematic, and The Final Coil of Bahamut - Turn 4.
The first verse is heard in the 1.0 quests Shapeless Melody and Sundered Skies.
The NPC Jainelette played the first few chords of Answers on her harp in the original version.
During the final days of Version 1.X, after October 31st, 2012, a distorted version of Answers replaced all outdoor field and battle music. Calloway's acapella vocals are played with some distortion, accompanied only by an ominous, aetherial rumble. This track has been referred to by fans as "Dalamud Answers". This version was brought back in an altered form for The Rising (2017), titled Answers - Reprise.
