Condition is an attribute found on all equippable items and represents the current condition of your equipment. Equipment never becomes unusable or permanently broken/damaged as a result of becoming worn out.

Equipment slowly loses Condition from the following:

  • Receiving damage in combat will cause armor to wear down. Each piece of equipment will not always receive reduction in wear upon sustaining damage.
  • Weapons wear out gradually with each connected attack, as well as successful parrying with the weapon.
  • Gathering and Synthesis will cause tools and equipment to wear down.

Items must be repaired to 100% condition in order to be stored in the armoire located in your room at any Inn (assuming it's eligible.) Any gear you receive from crafting or looting will always have 100% Condition when you first receive it.

See Repair for the details on how to fix that gear up.
