As before, you draw upon your experience of primals fought on the Source to shape the aether, this time recalling your fateful encounter with the Lord of Crags, Titan.

  1. Defeat Titan: 0/1

Titan
Divider3.png
Titan has 2 phases, during which he uses the following moves and mechanics.

Phase 1

Attack Name Description
Voice of the Land Heavy arena-wide AoE damage. Pre-shields recommended.
Evil Earth One of the squares on the floor will pulse orange, then the squares around it, and finally the squares touching those (basically a wave of sequential AoEs). Stand on the edge of the squares to be prepared to move into where one AoE just exploded to avoid being hit by the next wave.
Weight of the Land Marks 8 of the arena squares with orange AoEs.
Stonecrusher AoE tankbuster. Deals massive damage and applies a Physical Vulnerability Up debuff to target. Mitigate and tank swap.
Crumbling Down Spawns 2 proximity markers on opposite sides of the arena from each other. Players must move to either side that doesn't have the markers. After a few seconds, Massive Boulders will appear in their place. One of them will turn orange and eventually fall apart. Followed by Seismic Wave.
Seismic Wave After Crumbling Down. Deals moderate damage to players and applies a Vulnerability stack. Can be avoided entirely by standing behind the remaining Massive Boulder.
Bomb Boulders Spawns them in various patterns. 3x3 grid. Often followed by Cobalt Bomb.
  • Lines: Spawns 1 line of 3 down the center, then another line down the left or right, and a final line down the remaining side. Players need to move to the side where it was dropped last and then move to the center after those bombs go off.
  • Cross: Spawns either an "X" or a "+" shape, with a second wave filling the remaining 4 spots. Stand in the second wave of bombs, then move into the center or along the edge where the other bombs just went off.
  • Corners: Spawns bombs in only the 4 corners.
Cobalt Bomb Tethers to one of the edge Bomb Boulders. Makes it grow in size, causing its radius to double. Players should move to the opposite side of the room from this boulder while handling the other Bomb Boulders.
Earthen Fury Deals moderate damage and applies a ~13 second DoT to all players. Cannot be dispelled.

Advice and Tips

  • Many of these abilities can be used together; identify which is will go off first, and adjust for it accordingly.
  • Never stand near the MT. Stonecrusher is a large, heavy-hitting AoE that will easily 1-shot anyone who is not a tank.

Phase 2

Used multiple times during the fight; much easier to detail separately.

Attack Name Description
Geocrush One of the central edge tiles will be surrounded by a knockback pattern and the boss will jump to that tile at the end of the cast. Players will be knocked back about ~75% across the arena. Immediately followed by Massive Landslide or Fault Line.
Massive Landslide Immediately after Geocrush. The boss will summon the cogs and parts from his back and put them on his hands before casting this ability. At the end of the cast, he slams his hands into the ground before him, turning the line of tiles in front of him blue and knocking anyone standing on a different tile off the edge of the arena. The now-blue tiles will explode in AoEs after a few moments, dealing damage and applying a Vulnerability stack. Stand in the line of tiles in front of the boss, then sidestep off the blue tiles to avoid any damage.

Every time after the first, the boss will follow up with Landslide, using that rotation twice.

Landslide A massive T-shaped AoE that covers 2 rows and 2 columns of the floor. He will leap into the center of the intersection, causing the 4 remaining safe tiles on the sides of the T to turn blue. Players need to stand in the safe tiles and then immediately move out of them after the boss jumps. Immediately followed by Leftward Landslide or Rightward Landslide.
Leftward / Rightward Landslide Used after Landslide. The half of the arena indicated by the skill will have a giant orange AoE on it. After a moment, the boss will slam his fist into that side, lightning it up and turning the unmarked sides into blue AoEs. Players need to move to the side that the boss slammed his fist into ASAP to avoid being hit by the blue AoEs.
Fault Line Immediately after Geocrush. The boss will summon the cogs and parts from his back and transform them into a rideable kart before casting this ability. At the end of the cast, he charges forward, killing anyone on the line of tiles in front of him and knocking all players back ~45% of the arena while also turning the tiles to either side of the line he charged across blue. The now-blue tiles will explode in AoEs after a few moments, dealing damage and applying a Vulnerability stack, and turning the final line of tiles blue, repeating the process. Stand against the edge of line of tiles that the boss is charging through so that there is another row of tiles behind the ones you're standing on.

Every time after the first, this ability will be used 3 times in a row following the same pattern before he uses Magnitude 5.0.

Magnitude 5.0 Used after Fault Line. Massive donut AoE with the safe spot directly under the boss.

Advice and Tips

  • All of the damage that happens during these phases is completely avoidable with quick reactions.
  • Stand inside for Massive Landslide and the inner edge for Fault Line.
