Pre-Calamity Dialogue
Pre-Calamity Dialogue
Here to make use of our fine facilities, or are you in search of fresh, quality ingredients? Let me cater to your every need!
Ask about culinarians
What does a culinarian do?
Why, a culinarian is a crafter of fine cuisine! A baker of breads! A searer of steaks! He is a veritable magician, who from a few seemingly unrelated ingredients can conjure forth a masterpiece; serving only to sate the appetites of the starving, to slake the thirsts of the thirsty!
Where can I find ingredients?
Limsa Lominsa is a port city, with ships from all over Hydaelyn unloading their exotic cargo onto our docks almost every day. It would not be far from the truth to say that you can find most anything right here in the city if you know where to look. The guild has an extensive selection of ingredients, as do the shops in Hawkers' Alley. If you cannot find what you seek there, the market wards on the Southern Islands is another place to locate that special something.
What can I do with my creations?
The guild is always willing to purchase your culinary creations, but I would not expect too much in the way of compensation. We simply cannot afford to pay good coin for dishes that may simply go foul sitting in our kitchens waiting to be purchased. If you truly wish to turn a profit, might I recommend you take the food you make directly to the customer? Open a bazaar, or consider hiring a retainer and begin hawking your wares in the market wards.
How can I become a better cook?
If you continue to cook, how can you not improve? The more you practice, the more skilled you will become, and before you know it, you will be tackling recipes considered challenging even to the most accomplished of chefs!
And what better way to practice than by aiding those in need! Not only will levequests grant you with the opportunity to hone your skills, but will also earn you extra gil and guild marks in the process!
Nothing in particular
Very well. If there is ever anything you need to know, do not hesitate to ask!
