Organization
The Lambs of Dalamud are a cult devoted to worshiping the fallen lesser moon as a deity. They believe that the satellite's destruction prevented their deity's return, and that the heretics responsible must be destroyed to avenge Him.[1]

In contemporary Eorzean religious traditions, Menphina is known as the Keeper of the Twin Moons, and the arts often refer to the greater moon was a physical manifestation of the goddess herself. Thus was lesser moon which orbited Her styled as either her daughter, her lantern, or, most commonly, her loyal hound.[2]

When Nael van Darnus activated Dalamud and initiated its descent, it took on an ominous red glow that resulted in laypeople spreading many a rumor as to its cause. One particularly prevalent example was that Menphina's hound was bathed in the blood of those who would do his mistress harm, and that soon we too would all be bathed in that blood.[3]

With most of the of-age men fighting on the front lines against the Empire, little was to stop the rise of aggressive religious sects and doomsday cults, one particularly dangerous example being the Lambs of Dalamud.[4] They claimed the lesser moon was an entity in and of itself, and that by spilling sacrificial blood would the Hound be lured back to usher in the Seventh (and final) Umbral Era.

For this reason, they kidnapped the vulnerable from cities and hamlets and used them to lure adventurers to their rescue, massacring both in the end. Using the blood of their victims as fuel for magick, they wielded powerful thaumaturgy, channel spirits, and summon voidsent to ever increase the slaughter. Even if they themselves were slain in the process, they believed that the Hound was far more pleased with the blood of those slain in His service than the nonbelievers they offered Him, and that He would remember the scent of those that died to return Him to the corporeal realm - descending to the Gates of the Seventh Hell to return their spirits of Eorzea where they would serve him in the final era and inherit Eorzea as their own.[5]

The Lambs of Dalamud have since declared that the Satellite's destruction at the Battle of Cartenau was the work of heretics preventing their deity's return and have vowed to avenge Him, continuing their bloodshed in His name. They often take up residence in the realm's forgotten ruins, such as The Tam-Tara Deepcroft and Amdapor Keep, making use of the strong aetheric presences there.
