Devoted to the Matron, this altar consists of a great stone platter set within the hollow of an ancient tree under which adventurers pass to get to Stillglade Fane. In the middle of the clearing is a metal basin with six lamps around it. When celebrating plentiful harvests of festivals held in the elementals' honor, Gridanians lay gifts of grain, fruit, meat, and fish in heaping piles before the shrine to appease the Elementals, give them thanks, and beg for forgiveness. It is said there were once ceremonies to anger the elementals, but for obvious reasons this practice has long ended. |
