A World is a series of connected instances within a Data Center. Characters within a World exist in the same spaces as one another, able to interact and traverse these together. Open world areas normally contain everyone that is within the area, though in cases where too many people are within the same area, separate instances of the areas can be formed.

When participating in duties, characters from multiple Worlds within the same Data Center can form parties through the Duty Finder. Using Party Finder also allows the formation of Cross-World Parties, allowing characters from different Worlds to interact.

Characters can temporarily visit Worlds within the same Data Centers using the World Visit System, and alternatively transfer permanently using the Mog Station's World Transfer Service.

World classifications[edit]

Worlds can be categorised in a variety of ways, depending on the population. These classifications are:

  • New World, a World that's only recently been added. Characters created within these Worlds will receive bonuses during a period.
  • Congested World, a World that's overly populated. Characters cannot be created within or transferred to these Worlds.
  • Standard World, a World with a moderate amount of characters.
  • Preferred World, a World that's scarcely populated. Characters created in these worlds

World status[edit]

Worlds' statuses can change depending on server conditions and maintenance. These are:

  • Online, the World is available without issues.
  • Partial Maintenance, certain features for characters in the World are unavailable.
  • Maintenance, the World is unavailable for usage.
