Genus Description: These swarms of flying insects are quick and agile- More than a match for a flyswatter, they are quick and agile and sap the strength of their opponents with their bites and stings.
A "swarm" can refer to any thick cloud of small, winged insects. Some examples include the stinging midges, the carrion-seeking syrphids, and the common honeybee. While these vilekin are not strictly members of the same family, they share the tendency to display aggressive behavior when gathered in large numbers. Even goblin bugkeepers are known to give angry swarms a wide berth. [1]
