In the Enigma Codex are writ the designs for a walking citadel. It was known as Alexander, a self-sufficient bastion for logic and reason and a beacon of knowledge for a world adrift─so says the treasure hunter Mide. The Illuminati dreamed this century-old dream, and in so doing gave form to their primal. Yet no matter how beautiful an ideal, the reality of fanatics with such power is a tarnished, ugly thing. By your hand must this threat be stopped.

Living Liquid

Living Liquid has 3 distinct phases, during which it uses the following moves and mechanics.

Person Phase

Starting phase. Signaled later on in the fight by the boss turning into a giant blobby person.

Attack Name Description
Electric Floor A ring of electricity around the outer platform. Deals continuous damage to players standing in it and stuns them for ~10 seconds.
Sluice Marks 4 random players with blue arrow markers. Marked players should spread, avoiding stacking with each other and other players. After a few seconds, marked players will be hit with a large AoE.
Protean Wave Targets random players with thin cone AoEs extending from the boss. Being hit deals moderate damage and knocks players back, most likely into the Electric Floor.
Splash Raid-wide AoE. The boss will bend down and slam his hands into the ground repeatedly, dealing damage with each strike.

Advice and Tips

  • Stacking together can help making dodging Protean Wave easier.

Hand Phase

Signaled when the boss transforms into a giant hand.

Attack Name Description
Wash Away Massive AoE knockback. Everyone must stack in the center to avoid being flung into the Electric Floor.
Split The hand will divide in two, with each hand taking half of the HP at the time of the split. The second hand should be picked up by the OT and faced away from the MT by ~90°, with the rest of the group standing behind the two as they will consistently use Fluid Swing.
Fluid Swing Frontal cleave attack that applies a stacking Blunt Resistance Down debuff.

Advice and Tips

  • For Split, you can leave the hands on top of each other. Just ensure they are not faced the same direction or pointed at the rest of the group.

Tornado Phase

Signaled by the boss turning into a whirling tornado with a large puddle AoE around it.

Attack Name Description
Water Puddle Covers the center of the room, leaving a donut-shaped safe area for players to move around in.
Gear Lubricant Small, slow moving adds. Kill before they reach the Electric Floor.
Piston Lubricant Larger version of the Gear Lubricant. Has more health, so should be killed first.
Drainage Tether An orange tether will attach itself to a random player from the boss in the center. A tank must run through the tether or the person tethered to pick up the tether. Keep it away from other players; players should avoid running through the tether so they don't take it and the moderate damage.
Charges Two players will be tethered together, with either an Orange + or a Blue - marker over their heads. If they have identical markers, they must stack together/side-by-side; if they are different markers, they must stand on opposites sides of the arena. Identical markers will be repelled from each other, while different markers will be drawn together. Ideally, players should position themselves so they aren't pushed into either the Water Puddle or the Electric Floor.

Advice and Tips

  • Treat Charges like magnets! Opposites attract, same repels.

Final Phase

Happens around ~35%. Uses Protean Wave, Charges, Water Puddles, Fluid Swing, and Wash Away in this phase, in addition to the mechanics below.

Attack Name Description
Water Puddles Three water puddles will appear around the edge of the room. Players will need to dodge these while doing mechanics.
Fluid Swing Applies a stacking Blunt Resistance Down debuff, necessitating a tank swap around ~5 stacks.

Advice and Tips

  • The boss will combine a lot of moves together that were previously seperated in their own phases. Just continue doing the mechanics correctly and you won't need to worry.
  • Make sure to take into account the Water Puddles while adjusting for mechanics, Charges especially.
