Ferries are sea vessels that transport players between different locations over various bodies of water. Players talk to the Ferry Skipper NPC and are instantly transported to the connecting zone or area. While not always as convenient as teleporting, ferries are typically cheaper.

Bridging the waters of the maritime city-state of Limsa Lominsa and the docks of Vesper Bay, the ferry allows adventurers to freely travel between the Eorzean mainland and Vylbrand for a nominal fee.

Local ferrymen are also willing to lend their boats to those seeking to traverse shorter distances.

Notes

Throughout the testing of the game, the price for the Lower Decks ↔ Vesper Bay ferry was 55,514g in order to discourage people from using it. The specific price is a play on words, as the number 5 in Japanese is pronounced "go," making the message, "Go, go, go, 14."
