The wamoura's distinct proboscis ends in a ring of hook-like teeth which are used to latch onto and bore into the bloated bodies of recently slain creatures, so that the vilekin might drain the corpses of the foul liquids festering and fermenting within. Long have the people of Gridania despised the wamourae, viewing the giant creatures as portents of blight and disaster. In its wingless larval state, the wamoura is known as wamouracampa. [1] |
