Trinity Seeker

Being hit by any attack will either kill you or apply a stack of Twice-come Ruin; getting two stacks of this debuff grants the player Doom and kills them. The debuff lasts for ~2 minutes.
Attack Name Description
Barricades Used to handle the Baleful Blade mechanic.
Glowing Wall Will instantly kill any players standing in it.
Verdant Tempest Raidwide AoE. Deals moderate damage.
Mercy Only used during Merciful Air Icon.png Merciful Air. Uses the First, Second, Third, & Fourth Mercy in succession. During each cast, one of the 4 swords the boss is holding will glow, which indicates the order of the 180° cleaves from the boss for Mercy Fourfold. These cleaves will always be based on the boss' position and will be on the intercardinal points of his hitbox. Keep track of the order and move to the opposite side of the glowing swords to avoid. Immediately followed by Mercy Fourfold.
Mercy Fourfold Used immediately after Mercy. Executes the Mercy swords in order of use. There will be a brief moment where the AoE will show up just before the skill goes off; if you stand very close to the center, you can dodge side to side to avoid more easily.
Verdant Path Changes the boss' weapons and skillset until the next cast. Initially starts in Merciful Air Icon.png Merciful Air.
  • Baleful Air Icon.png Baleful Air: Summons two giant greatswords and casts Baleful Swathe. Uses Baleful Swathe, Baleful Blade, & Phantom Edge.
  • Iron Air Icon.png Iron Air: No visible weapons and casts Iron Impact. Uses Iron Impact, Iron Splitter, & Dead Iron.
  • Merciful Air Icon.png Merciful Air: Summons four katanas and casts Act of Mercy. Uses Act of Mercy, Mercy, Mercy Fourfold, & Seasons of Mercy.
Baleful Swathe Only used during Baleful Air Icon.png Baleful Air. Used immediately after Verdant Path. Two massive AoEs to the left and right of the boss, with a space as wide as the hitbox through the North and South safe.
Iron Impact Only used during Iron Air Icon.png Iron Air. Used immediately after Verdant Path. Obvious line-stack mechanic.
Act of Mercy Only used during Merciful Air Icon.png Merciful Air. Used immediately after Verdant Path. Cross-shaped line AoEs as wide as the hitbox from the cardinal positions of the boss' hitbox. Move to the intercardinal points away from the hitbox to avoid.
Baleful Blade Only used during Baleful Air Icon.png Baleful Air. Raidwide AoE that deals heavy to lethal damage. Hide behind a barricade to avoid. Mechanic changes if Phantom Edge was used beforehand.
Phantom Edge Sometimes used before Baleful Blade. Changes the mechanic from a one-shot to a knockback. Grants the boss the Phantom Edge buff Phantom Edge Icon.png
Burning Chains Only used during Baleful Air Icon.png Baleful Air. Tethers random players together. Break the chain by running apart. Everyone should stand close to the middle of the arena Followed by Baleful Blade.
Iron Splitter Only used during Iron Air Icon.png Iron Air. The boss jumps to one of sand or iron rings on the floor and begins charging this ability. At the end of the cast, all matching rings will explode in an AoE, dealing moderate damage.
Dead Iron Only used during Iron Air Icon.png Iron Air. An Earth Shaker mechanic. Marks ~3 random players with yellow tethers and a marker over their head. After a short time, an unmarked cone AoE extends through the marked player from the boss. Used twice in a row. Avoid stacking with other players to avoid unnecessary damage.
Seasons of Mercy Only used during Merciful Air Icon.png Merciful Air. Signals the start of multiple mechanics at once; all are quite flashy and can make it difficult to see what's going on. Begins with a criss crossing pattern of white line AoEs, leaving squares of safe space between them. Additionally spawns a giant silver look-away orb floating above the ground, and a large pink expanding flower AoE on the ground. Players must dodge the white line AoEs while looking away from the orb, and then move away from the flower AoE as it will expand into a masive pink AoE.

Advice and Tips

  • Merciful Air Icon.png Merciful Air is easily the most difficult portion of the fight, with both Mercy Fourfold and Seasons of Mercy. Recommended to prioritize mechanics during this phase.
  • Make sure you move away from your tether partner during Burning Chains. Since it affects everyone, it may be difficult to determine who you are attached to, but just keep moving away from the tether stuck to you.
  • It's easy to check what phase you are in by either the boss' buff or the weapons (or lack of) that are used.

Attack Name Description
Left- & Right-sided Shockwave Large, 180° cleaves to the boss' left or right side, depending on the name, and uses the second one immediately after. Very fast cast. Deals moderate damage. Be directly behind to easily dodge side to side, or outrange it by being ~10m or so away.
Feral Howl Knockback mechanic. Pushes everyone towards the wall and inflicts them with a 3 second Staggered debuff, preventing movement. Cab be followed by Firebreathe.
Firebreathe Used after Feral Howl and Charge. Targets a random player with a 90° cone AoE if used after Feral Howl, or the opposite side of the room if used after Charge.
Directional Firebreathe Firebreathe, but the boss also has either a blue clockwise indicator or an orange counterclockwise indicator. At the end of the cast, the boss will use Firebreathe 5 times in a row, turning in the direction indicated after each use. Stand to the opposite side of the indicator so you can dodge into the first AoE after it goes off.
Marchosias Untargetable adds that use two abilities:
  • Head Down: line AoE across the arena. At the end of the cast, the add charges through the path of the line AoE, shifting spots to its end point.
  • Hunter's Claw: large, point-blank AoE centered on the adds. Used in conjunction with Feral Howl. Get knocked back to an area with no adds to avoid being hit.
Falling Rocks Multiple large circle AoEs appearing around the center of the arena. Avoid as necessary.
Hot Charge The boss turns in a random direction and charges to that wall. Has no cast bar; indicator is the boss hunkering down after facing a direction. Immediately after, turns to face directly across the arena, and charges to that direction. Immediately followed by Firebreathe. Being hit by a charge deals moderate damage and knocks the player back. Stay near the center of the arena and run to the opposite side of the first charge. Avoid standing dead center so you aren't clipped by the charge coming through the middle of the arena.
Heat Breath Tankbuster.

Advice and Tips

  • This is more of a miniboss, because the HP is so low and the mechanics are relatively easy compared to the other bosses.
  • You can premptively move for Hot Charge once you see the initial direction the boss is turning in; just move to the opposite side of the wall.
  • As Directional Firebreathe is only used 5 times in a row, the spot where the second Firebreathe hit will be safe and casters can remain there without worry.
