Eden's Gate: Resurrection.png
Ryne's discovery of a vast concentration of Light prompts an expedition into the barren wastelands left in the wake of the Flood known as the Empty. There, you encounter the immense and enigmatic Eden, the very first sin eater and the progenitor of the destruction that all but consumed the world. Rather than seeking to end this threat once and for all, Ryne hopes to use its limitless power to restore the aetherial balance of the Empty and breathe life into the planet. However, she must first gain control of Eden's core, which is likely to have countermeasures for repelling intruders.

Objectives
  • Defeat Eden Prime: 0/1

Eden Prime
Divider3.png
Eden Prime has 3 distinct phases, during which it uses the following moves and mechanics.

Phase 1

Attack Name Description
Electric Wall Brushing against the edge of the arena will instantly kill a player. Avoid at all costs!
Eden's Gravity Heavy hitting roomwide AoE.
Vice and Virtue Has multiple different appearances.
  • Black Puddles: Marks 4 players with large black AoEs. After a few seconds, they will remain in place as stationary puddles. Remaining in or moving into the puddles causes moderate damage and inflicts the player with debuffs.
  • Vice of Vanity: tethers to both tanks and at the end of the cast shoots laser beams at them in a long line AoE. Tanks should avoid standing between the boss and the group, either angling to stand together at the front or one tank moving to the side. If a tank is down/missing, it will pick another random player.
Eden's Flare Donut AoE with the safe spot in the boss' hitbox.
Spear of Paradise Tankbuster. Two frontal attacks on the MT. (Possible cleave?)
Pure Light The boss will leap to a corner of the room and begin casting this ability. At the end, it will cleave the entire arena in front of it. Players need to move behind the boss to avoid.
Delta Attack The boss moves to the center of the room and uses a large circle AoE beneath it along with two line AoEs in the shape of a cross through its center. Each player will be marked Eden's Fire III. Move into the safe outer corners and spread out to avoid overlap.
Eden's Fire III Marks a player and moves with them. Deals moderate damage.

Advice and Tips

  • Anytime the boss jumps to a corner, move towards it as it will be casting Pure Light. Be careful as well not to touch the Electric Wall.
  • Bring the Vice and Virtue Black Puddles to the sides of the room, as they take a while to fade.

Phase 2

The boss uses Pure Light during this phase.

Attack Name Description
Dimensional Shift Phase change. The boss moves to the center and the floor changes colors. Numerous White Orbs spawn in a circle around the room. Immediately followed by Pure Beam. The second time it's used, the room will return to normal.
Pure Beam Immediately after Dimensional Shift. Shoots beams into additional white orbs that spawn around the boss' head and then vanish. Allows the White Orbs to use abilities. Followed immediately by Paradise Lost.
Paradise Lost Used immediately after Pure Beam. Summons AoEs that spawn under player's feet repeatedly (3 times). Followed immediately by Pure Light.
White Orbs Each will repeatedly use a line AoE in the direction of a random player.

Advice and Tips

  • There are a great deal of AoEs going out during this phase. Keep an eye on where you're standing and identify if you've been targeted for the triple Paradise Lost AoEs.
  • When the boss jumps to a corner to cast Pure Light, start making your way towards it while dodging the White Orb and Paradise Lost AoEs.
  • Wait until 50% of the cast is complete before moving behind the boss to avoid accidentally dropping a Paradise Lost AoE.

Phase 3

Attack Name Description
Fragor Maximus Used after the second Dimensional Shift. Marks the start of Phase 3. The boss disappears and spawns two Guardian of Paradise adds.
Guardian of Paradise Spawn opposite each other on the platform with proximity markers. Uses frontal cleaves. Around ~50 seconds after spawning they will cast Unto Dust(?). After killing both adds, the boss will use Eternal Breath.
Unto Dust (Unknown what this move does, but it's likely a wipe mechanic.)
Eternal Breath Deals heavy damage but shouldn't kill as long as people are topped off and both Guardians of Paradise are killed. Has an exceptionally long animation (~50s), so it's pointless to prep defensive cooldowns.

Advice and Tips

  • Due to the long cast time of Eternal Breath (~50s) it's not worthwhile to prep any buffs. Healers should ensure that all players are topped off before (or just after) the Guardians of Paradise die.
  • After this, Phase 1 and Phase 2 repeat until the boss is downed.
