Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm.png
As you and your comrades prepare to restore the last of the six elements, Gaia's mind is suddenly seized in the grip of an unknown and malevolent force. Dark aether swirls around her, and slowly coalesces into an ominous glyph, hovering high above Eden. From nowhere, a vast swarm of sin eaters circles around it, as moths to a flame, and a voice that emanates from within the core claims to hold dominion over these creatures of Light. While its true purpose remains unknown, one thing is abundantly clear: it must be vanquished before it is allowed to place your mission in jeopardy.

Edit Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm's Dialogue

The Idol of Darkness
Divider3.png
Iconoclasm has 3 phases, during which the following moves and mechanics are used.

Phase 1

Attack Name Description
Empty Wave Moderate raid-wide AoE damage.
Unshadowed Stake Tankbuster. Tethers the main tank with a red beam. At the end of the cast, shoots them with a narrow line AoE. Tanks should move to the side of the group to avoid hitting them, and players should avoid standing in line with it.
Words of Motion Summons two sets of two bird orbs in a line at the North side of the platform, one after the other. They will charge straight down the lane they are facing, dealing heavy damage and applying a Vulnerability stack to all players. One of the two center lanes will always be safe, so hover around mid and sidestep into the other lane after the birds have passed.
Voidgates Initially spawns two portals on the South side of the arena in the center two lanes. The center left portal will always be red, and the center right portal will always be blue. The portals on the left side will also always be fixed, with the pattern from North to South being blue, red, blue, red. The boss will shoot bird orbs into the portals, one after the other. The portal that it shot first will be the one that the side portals shoot out first, so stand in front of the colored portal who's South counterpart will be hit second.
Away with Thee Marks each player with a teleporter and a debuff indicating the direction of the teleport and time remaining until it goes off. The directions are based on the direction the player is facing, and will either be forward, back, left, or right. Position yourself so that when the debuff expires, the end point of your portal lands somewhere on the arena so you do not fall off and die.
False Twilight Drops large AoE circles beneath each players feet.
Silver Sledge No castbar. Marks two players with obvious stack mechanics. Avoid stacking together, as they inflict targets with a Magic Vulnerability Up that will easily kill anyone hit by both.
Unjoined Aspect Marks four players with the white debuff Astral Effect and four players with the black debuff Umbral Effect. Players with the white debuff must be hit only by the black orbs, and players with the black debuff must be hit only by the white orbs. Upon being hit, the debuff will flip to the opposite (basically changing to the color you were hit by).
Words of Night Summons two white and two black bird orbs at the North side of the platform. Used in conjunction with Unjoined Aspect. These orbs will always hit at the same time, so there is no safespot; just ensure you are being hit by the opposite color of your debuff. Usually ~3 waves of birds.

Advice and Tips

  • Away with Thee will always teleport you about 1 square worth of space, so if you are worried you can hover in the middle of the room and ensure that no matter where you are teleported, it will be relatively safe.
  • The initial Voidgates is meant to show how the mechanic works, and leaves a safe spot in the Northeast and Northwest sides of the arena.
  • Voidgates is easily the hardest mechanic in the fight, but once you understand the trick it trivializes the rest of it.

Phase 2

Add phase. Uses Away with Thee

Attack Name Description
Idolatry Spawns two Idolatry adds. Can (and should) be stacked, but each tank should take one to prevent excessive damage. Uses Strength in Numbers and Explosion in sync.
Strength in Numbers There are two varations to this ability.
  • Upright Spin: A massive donut AoE centered on the Idolatry, with a large ring of space safe around its hitbox.
  • Laying Down Spin: A massive circle AoE centered on the Idolatry.
Silver Shot Used by the untargetable boss. Marks each player with a large AoE circle.
Explosion Deals lethal raid-wide AoE damage. Must be killed before it can finish casting.

Advice and Tips

  • Mechanics-wise, the Idolatry's will use the Upright Spin > Laying Down Spin in conjunction with Silver Shot, and then Explosion.
  • Explosion acts as a DPS check; if they are not killed in time, players will need to restart the encounter.

Phase 3

Uses all mechanics from Phase 1 in addition to those listed below.

Attack Name Description
Black Smoke Spawns two large towers. At least one person must be standing in them to soak the damage and prevent a raid-wide AoE. Often used in conjunction with Away with Thee.

Advice and Tips

  • In this phase, Voidgates is often used in conjunction with Unjoined Aspect. Stand in front of the orb of your current opposite color and identify which portal you are standing in front of; that portal is now your enemy, and you must stand in front of the portal of the opposite color immediately after
