Eden's Verse: Refulgence.png
With the dark entity that haunted Gaia defeated, at least for the time being, you return to the task of restoring balance to ice, the final element. Being the most strongly aligned in favor of stasis, it appears that Ryne's direct involvement will be required to properly manipulate the aether. Inspired by tales of Ysayle on the Source, Ryne decides to use her own body as a vessel and wield the power of Shiva.

Shiva
Divider3.png
Shiva has 4 distinct phases, during which she uses the following moves and mechanics. It is important to note that you can fall off the arena during this fight, but you can be raised.

Phase 1

Attack Name Description
Absolute Zero Moderate raid-wide AoE damage.
Redress Shiva changes outfits, and the mechanics she will use.
  • Gown > Suit: starts with Lookaway. Scythe Kick
  • Suit > Gown: starts with Icy Floor. Driving Frost, Double Slap, Diamond Frost
Lookaway Used during Redress. Look away until the eye disappears or be stunned for ~5 seconds.
Icy Floor Any directional movement will slide the player across the floor, about 1/2 of the arena.
Scythe Kick Massive donut AoE with the safe spot being directly inside her hitbox or at max cast distance. Being hit deals moderate damage and applies a Vulnerability stack.
Axe Kick Massive circle AoE centered on the boss. Being hit deals moderate damage and applies a Vulnerability stack.
Driving Frost A 90° conal AoE from Shiva's back. Stand on her front or flanks to avoid. Being hit deals moderate damage and applies a Vulnerability stack.
Biting Frost A 270° conal AoE from Shiva's front and flanks. Stand directly behind to avoid. Being hit deals moderate damage and applies a Vulnerability stack.
Double Slap Tankbuster.
Diamond Frost Summons four white-rimmed AoEs equidistant around the edge of the arena. Marks four players with Flares and the remaining four players with AoEs. Flare players should move to the edges of the room in between the AoEs and wait for them to go off before returning to the center of the room. Shortly after, the white-rimmed will go off, and be replaced by new ones in the previous safe corners (effectively rotating them 45°). Four players will then be marked with chasing AoEs, and should all move together to one edge of the arena between the AoEs. After a few seconds, they will be targeted with three circle AoEs in sequence; dropping them together ensures there is a lot of extra space available for others to dodge.
Heavenly Strike Deals damage and knocks back all players about 1/4 of the arena.
Mirror, Mirror Summons green Mirrors around the arena. Always followed by either Biting Frost, Driving Frost, Scythe Kick, or Axe Kick. The mirror will then reflect the attack used back onto the arena, with obvious AoE markers to denote the safe areas.
Shattered World The boss will jump away and become untargetable. Signals the start of Phase 2.

Advice and Tips

Phase 2

Add phase. The group will be split into two light parties on different platforms and need to kill waves of adds. The pattern of spawns is different for each side.

Attack Name Description
Heart Asunder Raid-wide AoE damage. No castbar, happens regularly.
Aqueous Aether High health but can be stunned. Wait for it to begin moving before stunning to give maximum stun uptime.
Earthen Aether Moderate health and applies a Stoneskin to itself. Can be interrupted.
Electric Aether Low health and applies Shock Spikes to itself, reflecting damage back to the player. Avoid hitting rapidly or with multiple oGCD abilities after its applied or you will likely die.
Light Aether Tethers to the Crystal in the center. A player must stand in between it and the crystal to intercept the tether and remain there until it goes off; it will not change tether targets. Deals moderate damage in an AoE around the player.
Crystal Each time an Aether reaches the crystal at the center, charges the Flood of Light gauge by 20. At most 4 total (across both groups) can reach the center or it will be a wipe.
Flood of Light Ultimate gauge. If it reaches 100, the raid will wipe. If the gauge remains at 0, grants a small damage buff to all players.

Advice and Tips

  • There are 4 waves of adds total to deal with, then the phase is over and you will be returned to the main arena.
  • Electric Aethers can be nuked down before they apply their Shock Spikes.
  • The stoneskin applied by the Earthen Aether can easily be broken by dealing enough damage to it, so do not despair if it manages to apply one.

Phase 3

Uses all abilities from Phase 1 in addition to those listed below.

Attack Name Description
Holy There are two variations of this ability, depending on the number of orbs floating above her head.
  • 1 Orb: True holy. Proximity marker in the center of the arena; players should move to the edge to avoid.
  • 4 Orbs: Fake holy. Multiple proximity markers along the edge of the arena; players should remain in the center to avoid.
Light Rampant Deals moderate raid-wide AoE damage. Summons three consecutive sets of Bright Hunger towers and The Path of Light.
The Path of Light Marks two players with an orange marker. At the end of the cast, hits the marked players with a conal AoE extending from the boss through the player. Marked players should stand between Bright Hunger towers to avoid clipping players.
Bright Hunger Used during Light Rampant. Initially spawns four towers that require one player each in the inter-cardinal positions. Second set has two towers at East and West and requires two players each. Third and final set is a single tower at South that requires four players. Players marked by The Path of Light should avoid standing in them.
Twin Silence Uses Driving Frost and then Biting Frost in quick succession. Be beside her and then move behind immediately after the animation goes off. Often used in conjunction with Icy Floor.
Twin Stillness Uses Biting Frost and then Driving Frost in quick succession. Be behind her and then move to the side immediately after the animation goes off. Often used in conjunction with Icy Floor.

Advice and Tips

  • Around ~5%, the boss will start spamming Absolute Zero until she "dies", which signals the start of Phase 4.
  • Be sure to use your LB3 before as it will be "reset" in the upcoming phase.

Phase 4

Attack Name Description
Flood of Light Starts at around ~50 charge. the Ice Veil must be killed before it reaches 100 or the raid will wipe.
Ice Veil Stationary in the center of the room. Casts Endless Ice Age, which deals lethal damage if allowed to go off. Must be killed.

Advice and Tips

  • Essentially a victory lap for the fight. Grants a full LB3 bar.
