FFXIV:Gear Set template tutorial

add a Gear Set

The Gamer Escape templates are constructed to be as user-friendly as possible, but because of some software limitations there are sometimes some unintuitive fields.

The action template is used for all Gear Sets (including player defined Glamour sets).

We've placed the entire item template below and explain each line, explaining what it's for and what data you can enter for it. The template lines are located in the boxes surrounded by the dashed line with the description for it underneath.

Unless otherwise indicated, you do not need to use any wiki coding (i.e. brackets).

{{ARR Infobox Gearset
| Head =
| Body =
| Hands =
| Waist =
| Legs =
| Feet =

| Earring =
| Bracelets =
| Necklace =
| Ring1 =
| Ring2 =

The name of the items in the set.

| Name =
| Description =

Name of the set and optional description about the set. Can be used to describe the set itself, or perhaps the event were it was acquired.

| Item Level =

The set level is automatically calculated, but this can be used if an override is needed. Is necessary when the set contains an item using more than one slot. The wiki does not count empty slots as zero.

| Glamour =

Mark this with an "x" if the set is a user-made glamour set or a set added by Square Enix not for the statistics, but exclusively for the looks (i.e. the Spring Set).

| Head Dye =
| Body Dye =
| Hands Dye =
| Legs Dye =
| Feet Dye =

For glamours, if you used a dye for a particular slot, you can enter the name of the dye here.

| Gallery =

Add any images of the set, separated by commas. Just add the file name and extension as uploaded to the wiki ("File:" is not needed). Images with a png extension and that uploaded with a file name that begin with the name of the set (i.e. File:Crimson Set Image 2.png]] will automatically be shown.
