Etymology
Nald'thal is likely based off the astrological figure, Gemini, the Twins. In Greek mythology, Gemini was comprised of the twin brothers known as Castor and Pollux. Though twins, they had different fathers. Pollux was the son of Zeus, and thus immortal, while Castor had mortal blood. After being scammed on a business deal, Castor and Pollux performed a cattle raid on those who had cheated them, tying in to Nald'Thal's overseeing of transactions. They got caught, and Castor, being mortal, was fatally wounded. Pollux, devastated by the loss of his twin, petitioned Zeus to share his immortality with his brother. His wish granted, Gemini was fated to travel between Mount Olympus and the Underworld on alternating days. This, in turn, could point to Nald'Thal's oversight of the underworld.
