  1. Defeat the Phantom Train: 0/1

Phantom Train
Phantom Train has 2 distinct phases, during which it uses the following moves and mechanics.

Phase 1

Attack Name Description
Spooky Ghosts Used multiple times throughout the fight. Multiple large square AoEs will appear in a line down the middle of the arena (4 will spawn at the start of the fight). After a few seconds, they will resolve into purple squares with ghosts hovering in them. Any players standing in the AoE when this happens will die. Players cannot move through the squares, although there are thin strips of space between them to move from side to side. Can be removed with Spotlight.
Head On Proximity AoE on the front of the platform. After a few seconds, the boss will ram into the platform, causing fatal damage to players standing too close and knocking all players back. Players should move to the back of the platform.
Spotlight Random players will be marked with an orange marker before a large white AoE appears that will follow them. After a few seconds, it will solidify (signified with a golden border) and a few seconds after that it will explode, dealing heavy damage to players caught inside. Used to remove Spooky Ghosts and Diabolical Whistle.
Diabolical Headlamp Obvious line stack mechanic. Targets a random player and other players must stand in a line between the marked player and the boss. NOTE: You do not need to stand in the stack marker for this one.
Diabolical Whistle Has two different variations.
  1. Spawns numerous ghosts tethered to random players. The ghosts will continuously move towards their tethered target. If they reach them, the will send them to a Passenger Car. Use Spotlight to remove them.
  2. Spawns numerous ghosts on either side of the platform. They will slowly float across to the other side, sending any players they touch to a Passenger Car.
Passenger Car Players that touch a Diabolical Whistle ghost will be sent here. They must kill an add and touch the Aetherial Stream to return to the boss platform.
Doomstrike Tankbuster.
Diabolical Wind Marks random players with a large green AoE that follows them. After a few seconds, it will spawn a tornado on top of them that deals moderate damage. Avoid stacking them together or standing with the targeted player.
Diabolical Light Spawns a large red AoE on two random targets. After a few seconds, it will resolve into a proximity marker. Marked targets should move to the back of the platform to drop the markers, then move back to the front with the rest of the group to avoid dying to the AoE.
Acid Rain Moderate raid-wide AoE damage.

Advice and Tips

  • Make sure to avoid being hit by any of the ghosts from Diabolical Whistle. Make use of Spotlights to remove them.
  • Players affected by Diabolical Light should be sure to move to the back of the platform so the melee can continue their DPS on the boss without having to move.
  • Stack in a line for Diabolical Headlamp. Remember that you don't need to be in the marker for it to count!

Phase 2

Happens when the boss moves away and comes up alongside the platform.

Attack Name Description
Putrid Passengers The boss will spawn ~8 putrid passenger adds. During this, players will need to deal with 2 sets of 4 Diabolical Wind AoEs.
Jump Pad Spawns after all Putrid Passengers are dead. Allows players to jump onto Phantom Train's back, with a second Jump Pad to send them to his front. Allows access to the Doom Chimney.
Doom Chimney Players must kill this to return to the platform. Deals 392,677 damage to Phantom Train. Upon killing, covers the main platform with a dense fog that afflicts all players with a 20-second Throttle debuff.
Throttle Slowly suffocates the player. At the end of the timer, will kill any affected players. Players must touch one of the ghosts on the platform to enter a Passenger Car to avoid death.

Advice and Tips

  • This time, make sure each player touches a ghost to avoid death by Throttle. There are enough ghosts for each player.
  • After this phase finishes, Phase 1 will repeat until death.
