The garb of the image suggests a BLM type job (Pestos); however, Thaumaturge is translated as "miracle" which would suggest a WHM job, maybe this is more akin to that of a SCH being a cross of the two w/o the martial context of a RDM. Milotheshort 16:01, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

With the currently-known classes being the most basic on their respective job trees, it makes sense that they would be general-purpose. "Thaumaturge," being focused on any miracle, is a more general term than even "mage," which focuses on miracles of the magic spell variety.
