Innocence has 4 phases, during which he uses the following moves and mechanics.
Phase 1
Attack Name |
Description
Realmrazer
Room-wide AoE damage.
Heavenly Host
Summons numerous adds. The OT should pick these up and bring them to stand on the boss so people can AoE them down ASAP. Especially important if the boss uses Guiding Light.
- Forgiven Shame: Uses Scout's Bridle, a low-damage AoE. With numerous going off at once, can hurt quite a bit.
- Forgiven Venery: Uses Holy Sword, a tankbuster. Deals moderate to heavy damage on whoever has aggro.
Daybreak
Drops multiple AoE puddles beneath random players feet.
Sinsphere
Summons ~4 meteor towers at the cardinal directions. At least one player must stand in each to avoid them exploding and dealing damage to the entire group. Paired with Enthrall.
Enthrall
Gaze mechanic. Look away from the boss before he finishes the cast.
Guiding Light
Grants the Heavenly Host monsters a buff, allowing them to deal more damage.
Exalted Wing
Roomwide AoEs with no cast time used while he is moving to next phase.
Advice and Tips
- Make sure to kill the Heavenly Host adds quickly, as the multiple AoEs and tankbusters they can use can easily overwhelm your healers, especially when paired with Guiding Light.
- At least one person should be standing in each Sinsphere.
- He will begin transitioning to the next phase at ~40% by moving to the north side of the room.
Phase 2
Happens after he transforms. If your party wipes in this phase or later, you will return to the start of Phase 2 instead of starting again at Phase 1. None of the Phase 1 abilities carry over into this phase.
Attack Name |
Description
Righteous Bolt
Tankbuster. Deals moderate damage.
Winged Reprobation
Has various different effects.
- Stationary Swords: Summons two stationary swords on the floor that shoot out ~3 line AoEs each that are equidistant from each other, directed at a random player. Used multiple times in a row.
- Spinning Swords: Drops a single sword in the middle with a swoopy "S" shaped AoE extending from one side of the arena to the other. The AoE will spin, dropping waves of swords every second as it rotates around the room in the direction of the curve. There is often a safe spot on the secondary golden ring of the floor where the AoEs don't hit.
Rightful Reprobation
The boss moves to the center and shoots out eight blue line AoEs to the cardinal and intercardinal directions. After a short delay, he shoots swords in those directions (which can be seen on the edge of the arena) which return after ~10 seconds in the same shape of the original AoE.
Shadowreaver
Room-wide AoE damage.
Advice and Tips
- While Righteous Bolt looks like it might be a sneaky AoE, it's not.
- There is a safe spot for Spinning Swords where you can stand on the second golden ring on the floor to avoid having to move at all.
- Don't move back in during Rightful Reprobation as the swords will come back shortly. Wait where you were to avoid being hit.
Phase 3
Starts around ~60% or when he uses the first Shadowreaver. The boss leaps away to stand at north and summons 5 adds.
Attack Name |
Description
Immaculate Authority Gauge
Determines how much damage Flaming Sword does. If it reaches 100%, the group will be wiped.
Forgiven Venery
The Forgiven Venery in the center will be untargetable until all Forgiven Shame adds are killed. She will Tether to one of the Shame adds and use a long cast of Holy Sword.
Forgiven Shame
Stationary at the intercardinal direction it spawns in. Consumed by the Forgiven Venery when they are Tethered to her.
Tether
The Forgiven Venery uses this on the Forgiven Shame adds. After a short time, she pulls them towards her and kills them with Holy Sword if they are still alive, dealing room-wide AoE damage depending on how much health they have left and applying a Slashing Resistance Down stacking debuff to all players.
Flaming Sword
Deals damage based on the Immaculate Authority Gauge.
Advice and Tips
- Kill the Forgiven Shame that has the Tether first to prevent excessive group damage.
- The damage from Flaming Sword is calculated shortly after the adds are finished off, so it's important to have everyone topped off before or just after they die. Shields and buffs applied even a few seconds later will have no effect on the upcoming damage.
Phase 4
Uses all abilities from Phase 2.
Attack Name |
Description
God Ray
The boss jumps to the middle and spawns three wide conal AoEs that extend to the edge of the room in three "layers" that go off one after the other. After the first set goes off, it will rotate slightly in either direction and repeat itself twice more.
Light Pillar
Line stack mechanic.
Beatific Vision
The boss jumps to one of the cardinal directions and starts casting this ability, marking a line down the center of the arena. At the end of the cast, he charges down the center, dealing proximity damage to those closer to the line he is charging. Move far away to the edge of the arena to avoid being one-shot.
Advice and Tips
- Standing close to the boss makes it much easier to dodge God Ray.
- Damage from Beatific Vision is calculated shortly before he finishes the cast, so don't get greedy! Move to safety first.
