I'm sure the materials you find in that cavern will prove useful for island development. The shiny ones will be especially nice when they're polished and gifted to the adorable feline mammet who oversees your island while you are off gallivanting and cavorting and fishing and mining and crafting and gathering and dueling and primping and hunting and selling and sightseeing and collecting those fiddly little tombstones and doing whatever else it is that you adventurers spend so much of your precious time doing.
