The Tsagaan Sar (pronounced Sa-HAN Sar) is an important period to the Auri Xaela clan. Based on its name, which means "White Moon," it can be presumed to be the Lunar New Year celebrated by the tribes of the Azim Steppe and Nhaama Desert. The Naadam is held on the final day of Tsagaan Sar.

Etymology
The Tsagaan Sar, or Mongolian Lunar New Year, is the first day of the year according to the Mongolian lunisolar calendar. The name literally means "White Moon", and it is one of the most important Mongolian holidays.
