Movement ⇒ Aethernet

150191.png
Attuning with the shard has granted you access to this city–state's Aethernet. The Aethernet can be used for quick intra-city travel.

Movement ⇒ Aetheryte

150151.png
By learning the spell Teleport, you are now able to travel instantly between aetherytes to which you are attuned. Access the teleportation menu by selecting Teleport under Travel from the main menu.
150152.png
Unlike other spells, Teleport does not require MP to cast, and instead uses a type of naturally regenerating spiritual energy. A small fee of gil, however, must be paid to the keepers of the aetheryte so that they can maintain the crystals and defend them from those who would see them destroyed. The fee varies depending on travel distance and remoteness of aetheryte location.
150153.png
Registering an aetheryte as a favored destination will reduce the amount of gil required to travel there. Up to three favored destinations can be registered at any one time.

Movement ⇒ Dismounting Personal Chocobos

150871.png
While on chocoback, a chocobo icon will appear in your status effects bar. You can dismount your chocobo at any time by right-clicking this icon or by reclicking the action you used to mount your steed. Use the chocobo whistle to summon your steed again.

Be aware, however, that once you have dismounted, the chocobo will return to his stables, regardless of how much time is remaining.

Movement ⇒ Personal Chocobos

150861.png
You can Use a chocobo whistle to acquire the action to summon your personal chocobo. Unlike rental chocobos, there is no time limit regulating how long you may remain on chocoback. Remember, however, there are areas, such as highly populated cities and narrow dungeons, that your chocobo will refuse to enter.
150862.png
The action to summon your chocobo can be set to your hotbar and is located within your Mount Guide found under Character in the main menu.
150864.png
Chocobo armor, or “barding,” can be equipped via the Companion interface situated in the Character section of the main menu.

Movement ⇒ Porters

150841.png
Porters are similar to rental chocobos in that they can be hired to carry you quickly to various destinations, the differences being that you cannot control these birds, and that they will not stop until they have arrived at their destination. On the other hand, porters are trained to take the safest route, meaning that they will never be attacked while in transit.

Movement ⇒ Rental Chocobos

150821.png
Upon reaching level 10, you will be allowed to rent chocobos from stables across Eorzea. Chocobos can be used for speedy transport to areas which are not readily accessible via aetheryte.

While riding, you will have complete control over the chocobo until you either dismount, enter deep water, are attacked, or the rental period expires.

Movement ⇒ Return

150131.png
The spell Return can be used to instantly travel back to the aetheryte set as your home point. Casting the spell does not require any MP and can be accessed by selecting Return under Travel from the main menu. The sole limitation of the spell is that it can only be cast once every 15 minutes (Earth time).
150132.png
Only one home point may be set at any time. To make an aetheryte your new home point, right-click on the crystal to bring up the aetheryte menu.

Movement ⇒ Swimming and Diving

152501.png
You (and all your flying mounts) have received the Kojin tribe's ancient blessing, and can now breathe underwater indefinitely!
152502.png
To dive, you must first be swimming in a body of water that allows diving. Next, you simply need to descend as you would with any flying mount (default: Ctrl+Space).

If you are riding a flying mount, you can go from flying to diving by descending into the water at the proper angle.

152504.png
There are special emotes such as /waterflip that can only be used while underwater. These emotes are indicated by a unique icon.

Movement ⇒ World Visit

152761.png
By accessing certain aetherytes, it is possible to leave your Home World and visit other World servers in your data center to party with friends, purchase items, and tackle duties.
152762.png
Be advised that certain restrictions apply when playing on servers other than your Home World.

You can view a list of these restrictions when accessing an aetheryte that allows World Visits.
