Unalienable Rights - Part 1
Lulutsu: It was good of you to take the time to come and see me, <Name>. I daresay I've made you go out of your way... At the risk of asking too much...might you be willing to travel north to Gridania on the guild's behalf?

Lulutsu: Come, tell it true─have not the days here been less than droll of late? Do you not grow weary of seeing the same combatants, match after match, time and time again?

Lulutsu: None are more aware than we of the monotony of what it is we do here. We've even increased the size of our victors' purses in an attempt to attract fresh blood from around Eorzea.

Lulutsu: But there is only so much we can do here in Ul'dah. It is no secret that our matches lack the excitement they once had. No spectator wishes to watch a fight of which they can predict the outcome.

Lulutsu: There's no shortage of new gladiators like yourself. But there's still something missing. Something...fresh. Something to draw a crowd. Something marketable.

Lulutsu: Oh, don't look so despondent. I'm not slighting you or the others.

Lulutsu: I simply mean to say that we'd like to find some competitors from the other nations. Some fresh blood for the bloodsands. Some folk who look like they could put on a good show.

Lulutsu: And we'd like for you to help us find them. What do you say?

(Refuse)

Lulutsu: Fine, whatever takes your fancy. But don't come crying to us when the crowds leave and there's no longer a gil to be had.

(Accept)

Lulutsu: Excellent! Just think of all the happiness you will be bringing thousands of Ul'dahns!

Lulutsu: From Ul'dah, just head east along the Royal Sunway until you come upon the Lumberline. That will lead you straight to Gridania.

Lulutsu: Ah, and one last thing... Lulutsu: Lulutsu: You might bump into one of the other gladiators we've sent up that way. Might be nice if you could help each other out.

Unalienable Rights - Part 2
Miounne: All the way from the Coliseum? You don't say. Your friend has been making the rounds, as well.

Miounne: He's not exactly...inconspicuous. Well? Come now, don't tell me you don't know him.

Yoyobina: Now there's a face I remember. Where was it...? Aye, you're that gladiator what trounced that Lalafell lad from Ala Mhigo some time back.

Yoyobina: Sent you off too, did they? Coliseum without a hero ain't much of a Coliseum at all, it seems. Surprised you're lookin' 'round here, though. Thought you'd be fixin' to play that role yourself by now.

(Do you seek to become the hero of the Coliseum?)

(Yes, and I will be.)

(No, I aspire to true heroism.)

Yoyobina: Hahaha, is that so? You even know what it means to be a hero on the bloodsands?

Yoyobina: Long tradition of huntin' in these parts. That and fightin' off them birdmen. The lancers and archers here are the best in Eorzea─they have to be to survive.

Yoyobina: You should head over to the Wailing Barracks. Word is they got a lancer who did well at the Coliseum a while back.

Unalienable Rights - Part 3
Willelda: What business have you with the Wood Wailers? Speak quickly.

Willelda: The Coliseum of Ul'dah? Come to try those sorry southron skills against some true warriors, have you? Well the Wailers are always happy to oblige. Pray, proceed! Hahaha!

(Spar with the Wood Wailers?)

(No. I have not come for that.)

Willelda: What's this? Craven, are you? Then best mince your way back down south and join the rest of the eunuchs.

(Yes. Let's see how they wail with a spear up their arse.)

J'moldva: Well met, gladiator of Ul'dah. And best of luck─though luck has little enough to do with it.

Helbhanth: Begin!

(Battle)

Helbhanth: Enough!

J'moldva: I have seen few as gifted with a blade as you. You honor us with your presence.

Helbhanth: So you've come all this way for one fighter? All over a few matches won ages ago? You waste your time. The swords of the bloodsands are as lost as ever, as are all the souls who still fight upon them.

Yoyobina: Are your manners lost as well, Helbhanth?

Helbhanth: What has come of you? I never thought the great Yoyobina would be reduced to recruiting fodder for the Coliseum.

Yoyobina: The Hellfire Phoenix is hardly what I would call fodder. Gods, the crowds still chant that name.

Helbhanth: The one you call “Hellfire Phoenix” is no longer the person you knew─nor the warrior. The years have taken their toll, old friend.

Yoyobina: Aye? And what of the vows spoken in the Quicksand of a night? To drain all the skins in Ul'dah and turn the bloodsands to winesands with rich red piss?

Yoyobina: Hmph. It seems some find Gridania's waters more to their taste, these days...

Unalienable Rights - Part 4
J'moldva: The way of the sword is such that all who walk it become lost. A skilled gladiator told me that once─one of your own kind.

(Echo)

Greinfarr: That's it. Come now, just a bit further...

Greinfarr: I'm so sorry, J'moldva. It was all my fault. I never meant...

J'moldva: No. You've nothing...to apologize for. Leave it be.

J'moldva: I lost. I lost. And thank the gods for it.

Greinfarr: Hear this―the Coliseum will protect the Ala Mhigans, I promise you.

Helbhanth: You, there! What business have you in the Twelveswood? Speak quickly.

Greinfarr: Wood Wailers of Gridania! Well met.

Greinfarr: My name is Greinfarr, gladiator of Ul'dah. Please, my companion is near death. Will you not help us?

Greinfarr: Answer me!

Helbhanth: That wound was made by a blade. Gridania has no need of your blood quarrels, gladiator. And the Wailers are not sworn to guide the lost.

Greinfarr: You're the lost one, brother! This woman suffered her wounds to save the lives of innocents.

Helbhanth: Then she will die a good death.

Helbhanth: You have a gladiator's temper.

Greinfarr: And a gladiator's arm. And it will cut you all down if it must.

Greinfarr: She will not die here.

(Echo off)

J'moldva: Strange... I can't for the life of me imagine why you should remind me of that day.

J'moldva: It's nothing to boast of, but the people of Ul'dah once called me “the Hellfire Phoenix.”

J'moldva: Yoyobina would like nothing more than to see that bird rise from the ashes, but I've no intention of obliging him.

J'moldva: Greinfarr saved my life. And never again will I endanger it by taking up sword or spear for sport.

J'moldva: Tell Yoyobina he'll have to send another down that path to lose their way. I'll not lose mine again.

Unalienable Rights - Part 5
Yoyobina (via Linkpearl): Word has come from the Coliseum. A promising new fighter has been found in Limsa Lominsa.

Yoyobina (via Linkpearl): Come, we'd best get back to Ul'dah. There's naught for us here. That much is clear now.

Unalienable Rights - Part 6
Lulutsu: So we were refused again, were we?

Lulutsu: Yoyobina would like nothing more than to see the Phoenix “rise from the ashes,” but sooner or later, he's going to have to accept that this particular bird has flown.

Lulutsu: And give up on what could prove to be some of the most exciting matches the Coliseum has ever seen?

Lulutsu: You know full well that's not what I meant. No one yearns for the old days more than I. The crowds lost in excitement, screaming and throwing whatever they could get their hands on...

Lulutsu: Aye, who'd ever have thought getting people to throw things would be so damned hard...

Unalienable Rights - Part 7
Yoyobina: I simply wanted the Hellfire Phoenix to take to the bloodsands once again, and have her redeem her besmirched name before all of Ul'dah. Gods, we could have paid off all the Coliseum's debts in one fell swoop...

(Echo)

Spry Salesman: Fight, damn it! I bet my bloody house on you!

Long-lashed Adventurer: Come on, Greinfarr! Skewer the wench!

Cherlinaie: There are far too many, Yoyobina. When was the last time you saw this many Ul'dahns in one place without things ending in disaster?

Yoyobina: Aye, the masses have never been kind to our city. Still, ain't no helping it now.

Yoyobina: Ah, hello there, fellow gladiator. I hope you've come prepared for the worst. There's more money on this damn fight than in most nations' coffers.

Yoyobina: There'll be trouble, no matter the outcome. Those who lose their bets aren't like to go quiet. Hells, the gladiators themselves'll still be in a fever.

Yoyobina: If Greinfarr loses─gods forbid─the whole damn Coliseum's like to be torn down brick by brick.

Yoyobina: What happened? Who won? Who bloody won!?

Spry Salesman: Greinfarr! Greinfarr the Great! The pride of Ul'dah!

Richly Attired Maiden: Greinfarr! Long live Greinfarr the Great!

Cherlinaie: Did you see that?

Yoyobina: Aye, they spoke to one another...just before the end.

(Echo off)

Yoyobina: The old guard are just that―old. And age is stubborn. They fight for honor, glory, dead ideals―not for the crowd. But it's the crowd that needs pleasing.

Yoyobina: We had a match once... Future of the whole damn Coliseum rested on the outcome. Things...got out of hand. The crowd was whipping itself into a proper frenzy. Before things could turn violent, one of the combatants sacrificed victory to quell their fury.

Yoyobina: In the end, the Coliseum couldn't guarantee the safety of its own fighters. It was unforgivable, despicable.

Yoyobina: If I never see another match like that, it'll be too soon. It seems I've lost my way on yet another path...

Yoyobina: That's why I need you and others like you, <Name>. Speaking of which, I'm sure your reward has been prepared by now. Make sure to pick it up.

Unalienable Rights - Part 8
Lulutsu: <sigh> The matches Greinfarr gave us when he was in his prime were the best there have ever been. And don't you let anyone tell you different!

Lulutsu: And that technique of his─the old “lost blade” maneuver. It would make his opponents think he'd called it quits, and they'd come charging in to deliver the killing blow...and that's when he would strike!

Lulutsu: Imagine the suspense! Hearts aflutter, the people look on... To everyone's eyes the fight is all but won, and then... Yaaaaaargh!!! Greinfarr cries out, his sword finds its mark, and just like that, victory is his. The crowds would go absolutely wild!

Lulutsu: Any clod with a blade can learn the technique. But it takes a master to execute it in battle. Why not try your hand at it?
