"I'm one of the fortunate few Ala Mhigans the elementals've permitted to stay in their wood. While I count my blessings, it breaks my heart to see my compatriots without a place to go."
Born in Ala Mhigo, Albreda Pike was one of the few members of her nation who were permitted to dwell within the Black Shroud following its fall to the Garlean Empire twenty years ago. She is a friend—and implicitly a former lover—of Haribehrt of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn from his days in the Ala Mhigan Resistance, and is acquainted with Meffrid Noward. When she learns of Gallien's injuries, she is unable to lend her assistance, fearing reprisal by the elementals for defying their will. Instead, she directs the Scion adventurer to meet the hamlet's Hearer, Charline.
Albreda later witnesses Gallien fleeing Quarrymill. He gives her a letter and instructs her not to open it until someone came asking for him. However, upon realizing that Gallien intends to succumb to his wounds that his brothers-in-arms might leave without him, she is aghast.
Following Ala Mhigo's liberation, she thanks the Warrior of Light for freeing her homeland, and considers moving back to Gyr Abania.
