  • Upon approaching Orn Khai it becomes obvious that he is quite down in the dumps. He laments that he has little to show for all his years, and has been unable to uncover the source of Faunehm's rage. However, as luck would have it, it is Orn Khai's despair that allows him to see the truth─Faunehm's current state is a result of having to bear centuries of solitude. Just as he happens upon this theory, the warrior you previously met informs you that some Qestiri merchants have hired a dragon hunter. You hurry with Orn Khai to get to Faunehm before the hunter can.
  • As you search frantically for Faunehm, you are approached by none other than Estinien, the dragon hunter tasked with slaying Faunehm. He explains how he came to find himself in the area and agrees to lend you his aid upon hearing of your quest to reunite Orn Khai's father with his consort.
  • The three of you do battle with Faunehm, Orn Khai trying in vain to clear the haze that shrouds her mind, but he does succeed in alerting his father to their presence. Vedrfolnir is able to return his consort to her former self, allowing the battle to reach a peaceful conclusion.
  • After a millennium apart, Faunehm and Vedrfolnir are reunited at last; free once again to soar the skies above Dravania. You bid farewell to the former Azure Dragoon and your dragon ally, dreaming of future adventures.
  • The main thing during the fight, is that you will pull threat from Estinien. When you get the Enervation debuff and Orn Khai yells "Forename, come to my side! I shall heal you.", use Elusive Jump (preferably aiming to land near Orn Khai) to let Estinien start tanking again, or you will take massive amounts of damage and fail.
Estinien and you will face off against Faunehm. For the first part of the fight Estinien will use Skydragon Dive shortly after you engage and tank, allowing you to hit your positionals. Make use of your buffs during this time to take advantage of the extra damage. Abyssic Buster is a large conal attack, and Heavensfall will chase you with AoE circles. Occasionally after Heavensfall she'll follow up with Comet, a proximity AoE.

The biggest problem move is Chaotic Verse. This will do moderate damage and inflict Enervation, lowering damage dealt and increasing damage received. When she does this to Estinien he will use Elusive Jump and get Orn Khai to help him recover. This means you'll be tanking the boss for the next portion. She'll mostly just spam Dark Star, an arena-wide AoE, but you'll still need to dodge the occasional Heavensfall and Abyssic Buster. Keep it up until she uses Chaotic Verse on you, then use Elusive Jump and head over to Orn Khai while Estinien goes back to tanking.

These mechanics will repeat until she hits 0% and the fight finishes.

During the instance it refers to the quest as "Blood Dragoon"
