This camp lies on the road between the Black Shroud and Ul'dah. You'll find several places of note nearby. I suppose the two most well known are the Amalj'aa encampment, where the lizardmen nest, and the Church of Saint Adama Landama, where the thaumaturges tend the dead and worship Thal.
Now you know why there are so many Immortal Flames and corpses about. The former keep the Amalj'aa in check, and the latter are bound to be given back to the earth.
