The civilization of black magi and voidmagi during the War of the Magi, Mhach was responsible for summoning voidsent into the Lost City of Amdapor and the construction of the Void Ark, which they attempted to use to escape the Sixth Umbral Calamity. Lalafellin descendants of Mhach went on to found Belah'dia, the precursor to Ul'dah and Sil'dih.
