Sephirot has 3 distinct phases, during which he uses the following moves and mechanics:
Note that if a player dies by falling off, instead of them being useless for the rest of the fight, their dead bodies will spawn near the "entrance", allowing other players to ressurect them.
Phase 1
Attack Name |
Description
Tiferet
Unavoidable arena-wide AoE. Stay close behind Sephirot for heals when not dealing with Ratzon.
Fiendish Rage
Obvious stack mechanic.
Ratzon
Green circles appear around multiple players and follow them like in Shiva's staff phase. Split up to avoid hitting multiple players with the same AoE.
Ain
Shortly after Ratzon, Sephirot turns to face a player then fires a massive 180° AoE across the side of the room he is facing, dealing heavy damage and inflicting Vulnerability Up on anyone in front of him. Group back up behind him after Ratzon and run through him as soon as he turns around.
Triple Trial
Frontal cone AoE. Stay behind him to avoid.
Chesed
Telegraphed tankbuster. Sephirot reaches back and prepares to punch the MT.
Advice and Tips
- Many of his skills do not have a cast bar or have obvious telegraphs, so players need to be on their toes.
- He moves to Phase 2 around 60%.
Phase 2
Attack Name |
Description
Adds
The boss will leap away and summon a Cochma and four Binah adds. Tanks should pick these up quickly and burn them down. Once they are dead, a second set will spawn; just tank and spank them down again.
Cochma
The more dangerous add, must be tanked as it does a small frontal cleave tankbuster.
Ein Soph Ohr
Ultimate that does more damage the higher the boss' Limit Break Gauge is.
Advice and Tips
- Tanks should be sure to pick up all the adds, but especially the Cochma.
Phase 3
Attack Name |
Description
Pillar of Mercy
Blue circles appear on the ground where Sephirot will slam his fist down, knocking players outward from the impact. Stand near but not touching them while also making sure you will be knocked back into the arena instead of off the edge.
Yesod
Small ground AoEs at each player's location. Move to avoid, but be careful not to get too close to the edge when these appear during a set of Pillars.
Earth Shaker
Two players are marked with diamonds over their heads, then Sephirot fires a cone AoE at each of them. The marked players should run to opposite sides of the arena while the other players remain in the center.
Da'at
Sephirot reaches back and charges an orange ball of energy, then fires AoE attacks at 4 random players. Spread out to prevent them from hitting multiple players.
Spirit
Sephirot holds out a green orb in one hand and an orange orb in the other. Heavy damage; group up in the center for healing.
Fiendish Wail
Two orange rings (towers) appear on either side of the arena and Sephirot slams them both. One player needs to stand in each (preferably the tanks) to absorb the impact. Doing so will cause them to take moderate damage, while missing one or both causes the entire group to take heavy damage and possibly wipe.
Malkuth
Sephirot lowers his head to floor level and blows a gust of wind, knocking players back and spawning a Storm of Words and two Binah.
Storm of Words
Kill the Storm before it finishes casting Revelation or it will be a wipe. The remaining cyclone is used to avoid Impact of Hod. Players should stack on it when the stack marker appears around it or they will die.
Impact of Hod
Sephirot slams his arm at the side of the arena a few times before sweeping it across the entire surface, killing anyone who didn't stand in the Storm of Words.
Advice and Tips
- Players will need to deal with Yesod and Earth Shaker while killing the Binah and the Storm of Words.
