As you make your way through the Aery Exterior, a "dark cloud" will target random party members with "Levinbolt", a moderate damage AoE. You'll first encounter a Dran Sorn Gahr and an Aery Wyvern, followed by a group with a Thunderbolt Sprite, Aery Biast, and Cloud Chaser. The two can be pulled together for well geared groups, though a wall prevents passage until they're defeated. The nearby chest only has cheap medicine and can safely be ignored.

Further on, you'll find another Cloud Chaser and Dran Sorn Gahr with another consumables chest nearby, and further on another group of an Aery Biast and a Thunderbolt Sprite before another way blocking your way into Akh Fahl Lye and Rangda.

Rangda uses the following moves and mechanics:

Advice and Tips

• Stay close to the boss to avoid getting hit by Electric Cachexia. Run back in after Electrocution so you don't get hit.
• If you get a Prey tether, take it to a statue so you don't get hit by it.
  • However, if you wait a bit before taking it to a statue, you won't be hit by Ionospheric Charge. Just make sure you get to the statue before the damage hits you.
• The add dies quickly, so make sure to kill it.

Chest

The first group is a pair of Nidhogg Broodlings with a nearby Slumbering Dragon. The Slumbering Dragon aggroes by sound, not sight (so walking can prevent aggro, as well as not getting within it's smaller aggro range), but will also be woken up by Final Yip, a move the Nidhogg Broodlings use upon death. So, either kill the broodlings far away from the dragon, or take out the dragon as well, it's up to you.

Afterwards the Smoldering Dragon will make another pass near a wandering Nehd Sorn Gahr. There is also a nearby chest with equipment. A little further on are two Aery Drakes and the Smoldering Dragon will finally Touchdown and be targetable. All foes except the the Slumbering Dragon must be defeated to clear the path onwards. It's usually safe to grab the first two groups, then take on the last group, though skilled groups can handle all three, and it makes for a prime pull to use a magic limit break on.

Past the mist, you'll find a group of three more Nidhogg Broodlings near a Slumbering Dragon, and shortly after two more Nidhogg Broodlings and another Slumbering Dragon. Same mechanics as before, and you should be able to handle both groups at once. The second Slumbering Dragon has a chest nearby within aggro range, but by walking you can safely grab the chest without aggro. Once all the broodlings are defeated, the mists will part and you can proceed to Ten Oohr to face Gyascutus.

Gyascutus uses the following moves and mechanics:

Advice and Tips

• Avoid the poison gas. The tank should be prepared to move the boss if the gas gets in the way of melee DPS.
• Mustard Gas should be killed after it eats 2-3 gases.
• If you didn't use an AoE limit break before, you can safely use LB on this boss as it will rebuild for the final boss.

Chest

At the top of the bridge you'll find two more Dran Sorn Gahrs and an Aery Wyvern. These can be fought as is, or pulled a little further into Errn Scorh for the final encounter. Here you'll initially fight one Aery Vouivre, but once it reaches half health two Down Wyverns will spawn. The wyverns have less health than the vouivre and will go down easily enough, but must be snagged quickly to get them off the healer. Once the Aery Vouivre dies, two more will spawn and approach the party, and once one is killed the remaining six wyverns will rush the party. Once the other vouivre is defeated the rubble will vanish allowing access to Nidhogg An, Nidhogg's abode.

Advice and Tips

• The healer needs to ensure that Estinien survives, so keep his health relatively high or provide him with shields and buffs.
• Keep Nidhogg facing away from the group so they don't get hit by Scarlet Whisper.
• DPS should focus the Liegetails during the add phase. When Oskh spawns, he needs to be burned down ASAP so Estinien can defend you from Massacre.
• Use the LB after Massacre if it's full as it should deplete most of Nidhogg's remaining HP. The fight will end when he reaches 5%.
