You'll start off in the Vault Nave facing a small group of three Ishgardian Bannerets and a Vault Ostiary, which are LNC and GLD respectively. The Ostiary is more tanky than the rest so any single target moves the DPS must use (Fire III, Heavy Thrust, Twin Snakes, etc.) should be used on him as they AoE the group. The next group is the same as before plus a Vault Auditor. The Auditor is an ARC so the tank needs to drag the rest of the mobs on top of them to effectively AoE the group. After that is a whopping six Ishgardian Bannerets and a single Vault Deacon (THM), and shortly afterwards is a group of two Ishgardian Bannerets and a Vault Ostiary. Unlike previous groups, you can pull these together, however the tank should make sure to stack the group on top of the deacon. Once this group is down the last gate will open leading up to The Quire and Ser Adelphel.

Phase 1: Ser Adelphel will be in his normal mode as Ser Adelphel Brightblade alongside two Vault Ostiaries and a Vault Deacon. In this mode he just uses standard GLD moves (Fast Blade and Bloodstain) so treat him like another Ostiary as you burn down the pack. Once his HP hits 50% he'll use Advent and enter his second phase as Ser Adelphel.

• A largely straightforward fight, just make sure to keep away from the Brightspheres until they explode.

Chest

You'll first face two Vault Friars and a Vault Ostiary, and further onward a Black Knight and White Knight stand guard to the next section. They use Touch Move as a stronger melee hit, and either Black Knight's Tour or White Knight's Tour depending on the piece, with Black inflicting Bleed and White inflicting Slow. If you wish, it is common to pull both groups at once and simply burn them down together. With the guards defeated, the gate will open to the Chapter House and Ser Grinnaux

Phase 1: He'll initially attack as Ser Grinnaux the Bull, only using Overpower and Rive. At 30% he'll use Advent and change into Ser Grinnaux.

Advice and Tips

• It's best to force the direction of Hyperdimensional Slashes so that the tears are in a single location. He will always do two in a row followed by Faith Unmoving. The group should stack behind him until he casts it, sidestepping the AoE, and move back into position for the second Slash before moving to any other side of the boss to avoid being knocked into the Aetherial Tears.
• Make sure to keep him in the middle of the arena so you know where the knockbacks will go to.

Chest

Just outside the room will be two Ishgardian Bannerets, a Vault Ostiary, and another treasure chest. Up the stairs is the Rotunda and a single Vault Priest, who attacks as a THM and at 25% HP will begin casting Summon Familiar. Upon completion he'll die and four Cathedral Gargoyles will spawn in the corners of the room. Simply burn them down and dodge the copious amounts of AoE circles, then make your way to The Chancel to fight Ser Charibert.

Advice and Tips

• This can be a very healer intensive fight, especially for new groups or players who don't understand the mechanics.
• The party should stay stacked together as much as possible to assist in the breaking of Holy Chain. Standing too far apart can be deadly. If you get chained, make sure to run in opposite directions immediately to prevent the increased damage hits.
• In the second phase, he will start doubling up on Turret Charge, meaning players will have to deal with dodging 2 waves of Knights.
• In the second phase during Turret Charge, the boss will also use two Heavensflames, one after the other, so wait for the AoE to place before moving into position to dodge the first wave of Knights, and repeating it for the second wave.
