Biography

Once a weapons merchant in Ul'dah, Rowena worked to make friends in all the right places, and was soon able to shift her focus to antiquities. Though this brought her great fortune, she remains entirely single-minded in her pursuit of wealth. In this regard, she sees little difference between people and goods, and has lured many a brilliant tradesman and merchant into her service with the irresistible promise of coin. There are rumors that the Midlander woman wishes to one day make a foray into the world of Ul'dahn politics—though Rowena herself has not made these intentions clear.

At some point in the past, she seems to have been married to Gerolt, the realm's foremost weaponsmith. However, she is unwed at present, and means to stay so. As to her age, one can only guess, as a lady never tells. The same can be said of her surname—a secret she, for some unfathomable reason, keeps tight to her bosom.

Notes: Throughout 1.x, she wore many different pieces of gear, including: Explorer's Calot with a dyed Cotton Kurta, a Hempen Camise, a Cotton Shirt with a Valentione Skirt, and others.

Patches 2.0 to 2.1, her shirt/top was a Oasis Tunic.

Patch 2.3, she was moved from being in the same stall as Aelina and Auriana, to her own area called Rowena's House of Splendors to the north of Revenant's Toll. Clothing remained the same.

Patch 2.4, her outfit changed to a Coeurl Beach Halter top with a red and black skirt.

Patch 2.5, her top changed to a black Hempen Camise.

For Patch 3.0, her outfit consists of a black Thavnairian Bustier and Thavnairian Tights. She also now exists in two places at once: One spot in Idyllshire at X5.7-Y5.3, and the other in her House of Splendors in Mor Dhona.

For Patch 3.2, she changed clothes to a Dyed Expeditioner's Tabard and a Coeurl Beach Pareo. The little hut she resided in also got a slight upgrade with a rug draped across its roof and its building supports upgraded.

For Patch 3.3, her clothes have changed to: Dyed Moonfire Halter and Red Summer Pareo with unknown boots. The building she was in also got upgraded, now featuring a full stone enclosure.

For Patch 3.4, she has once again changed locations. She is located 90 degrees to the side of where she was, but still inside a the building. Apparently she was unhappy with where it was placed so she ordered it moved to the side while her 3 merchant employees (Sabina, Hismena, and Bertana) each have their own stall now.

Her clothes changed to: New World Jacket and New World Armlets.

For Patch 3.5, her outfit changed to a dyed Cashmere Poncho.

For Patch 4.0, she wore a dyed Ao Dai, which was later added for players in Patch 4.05.

For Patch 4.1, she wore a dyed Thavnairian Wool Autumn Dress.

For Patch 4.2, she wore: Ala Mhigan Gown, False Nails, Spring Bottoms, Sky Pirate's Boots of Aiming, Copper Wristlets, and Skallic Ring of Fending.

For Patch 4.3, she wore: Quaintrelle's Ruffled Dress (dyed Pure White), False Nails (dyed Dalamud Red), Quaintrelle's Ruffled Skirt (dyed Jet Black), Best Man's Gaiters, and Diamond Earring of Fending.

For Patch 4.4, she wore the same outfit as Patch 4.3 above.

For Patches 4.5 and onwards, she's wearing: Blue Dahlia Corsage, Eastern Lady's Togi (dyed Snow White), False Nails (dyed Othard Blue), Eastern Lady's Loincloth, Eastern Lady's Crakows, and a Namazu Earring.
